Aerial Tour of Hacienda Baru, Costa Rica's Oldest Wildlife Refuge
When local conservation legend Jack Ewing called us to create a promotional video for Hacienda Baru we were honored and jumped at the opportunity. Jack has been in Costa Rica for over 25 years fighting to protect the natural habitat of exotic wildlife that call
this country home. Jack's effort culminated in the creation of Hacienda Baru National Wildlife Refuge. Hacienda Baru consists of 830 acres of protected land that runs between the Pacific Ocean into the jungle covered mountains of Baru and Dominical. Their mission is to educate, preserve and support the biological assets of the area.
We enjoyed being a tourist while shooting at the reserve. We saw six sloths in two hours, numerous exotic birds, peccaries, coatis and even tasted raw chocolate before we flew through the jungle canopy on their zip-line tour knows as "flight of the toucan" Enjoy this aerial video of Hacienda Baru. If you are in the Costa Ballena area we recommend you swing on through and enjoy the fruits of Jack Ewings years of labor.
